About Us

Company Ethos

This small publishing company was founded on the precept that producing quality literature should be the primary goal of any publisher and profit should never be the main motivating factor behind publishing an authors’ work. Subsequently IPP are committed to encouraging and promoting talented new writers and their literary efforts.

Profits from book sales are used to further this aim.

Company History

IPP’s founders have a wide experience in various successful business endeavors in the States and are both avid readers.  They love the written word, but had an epiphany one day whilst walking round their local grocery store with their family realizing that it was always the same names they saw on the shelf time after time, with no variant or any real variety.

“…I just got a little tired of the accountant driven ‘big-boys’ dictating who should and shouldn’t be published. How about some new blood being introduced for a change? How about seeing something on the shelves that I would want to read myself, instead of all the cookie-cutter pre-digested pap that we’re constantly spoon fed from the big publishing corporations month in, month out? I came to the conclusion, that if I wanted to see something different, I’d have to put it out there myself.”

IPP’s co-founder a background primarily in sales, global communications and languages…fluent in three they have had translation positions in several countries. Their primary field of interest within IPP is business administration and the company’s web presence.

“There seems to be a growing disillusionment in the reading community with the large publishing houses and what seems to be a policy of profit over quality. True, there are exceptions to this trend; but very few indeed. This is why it is important that small press publishers like IPP and others exist…if for no other reason than to provide readers with some sort of choice; a choice that the large publishers and retailers, in reality, have effectively removed from us as a consuming public.”

At present IPP have limited their projects that are in production to a select and limited number individually handpicked by them;  the first is the ‘Watch’ dark fiction anthology that is currently available from us.

‘Call Sign: Killer’ will be released later on this year and a new dark fiction anthology ‘Darkshines’ is currently being edited by IPP’s anthology editor Ian Faulkner. Details of all these publications are available on IPP’a site.

More publications will certainly follow in the coming several months.
